Curt Fraley - Chef de Cuisine, Epic Buffet
Chef de Cuisine,Curt Fraley was born in Jefferson County,WV where he still resides. He states that his love of cooking led him to his work and eventual profession in the culinary industry. His first job in the world of food and beverage was at an early age where he worked at the Charles Town Inn—now known as the Mountain View Diner.
Chef Curt attended the Culinary School of Washington, DC and over the course of his tenor in the business, has held four different positions including that of Cook, Lead Cook, Sous Chef, and currently Chef de Cuisine at the Epic Buffet, one of ten restaurants located on property at Hollywood Casino at Charles Town Races.In addition to his formal culinary training, Hollywood Casino at Charles Town Races has enabled Curt to graduate from both the Leadership Development Training and iLead programs held at the casino.
Curt’s day is spent overseeing the culinary operations of the Epic Buffet while managing a large staff, as well as Hollywood Casino at Charles Town Race’s meal partnership with the Jefferson County Council on Aging through which the casino provides delivery vans and over 400 meals each month to homebound seniors in Jefferson County.
Curt says that he truly enjoys his career and because “everyone has to eat” its fun to surprise guests with different creations and choices.Chef Curt tells us with his jovial personality, that his absolute favorite meal in which to cook is a “down home” Denver omelet with home fries, bacon and biscuits.
